This bit of “wisdom” had come from the mouth of a female Wiccan who holds considerable influence which troubled me greatly not stemming from the fact of this individuals spiritual leanings but rather the fact that the individual would place their opinions and beliefs above and before anyone else’s by suggesting we keep our tradition and beliefs to themselves.

The Western New York Pagan community has been promoting greater outreach through Pagan Pride of Rochester by staging seasonal events of spiritual significance which coincide with the Witches wheel of the year.

Results have varied.

As usual most proceeds continue being funneled towards the main Rochester Pagan Pride event which still maintains its status as a one shot deal towards bridging any gap of understanding between the Pagan and non Pagan community. Which by some is viewed as a great event which provides opportunity for those like minded to gather and associate while others found themselves confused and intimidated by the presence of people and their representing spirituality which had nothing to do with the Goddess religion.

Where this again was promoted and provided by the same mentalities responsible for suggesting we keep our knowledge, our tradition, our beliefs, away from “their” community, and kept amongst ourselves.

And whenever faced with such nonsense does the community learn the hard way that by expressing such ignorance do they find even more Pagans and yes dare I say Witches turning a blind eye against them.

But the Ouija board just like any other occult related implement is also a tool which if used responsibly can also create desired results.

Jean was a unique person. Brilliantly gifted artistically which also involved cultural dancing with her daughter and was an avid horse lover and I believe trainer. She was also strongly opinionated as are many which brought the anger of many people upon her. Part of which had been death wishes and curses against her by specific holy than thou Wiccan’s who at that time were terrorizing anyone who opposed them.

Jean died while in operation. Jean and I who only met once had never had an all nude coven as suggested by one particular Wiccan asshole which only further proved just how dumb people can get.
